Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, Jessie Pulley developed an interest in veterinary medicine while working as a volunteer with the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA in Harrisonburg, VA. Her passion became her career in 2011, when she graduated from Blue Ridge Community College’s Veterinary Technology program as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Jessie worked in a small animal general practice for five years, where she honed her technical skills and furthered her knowledge, becoming interested in veterinary rehabilitation.
Jessie came to work for Veterinary Surgical Centers Rehabilitation in January of 2016. During this time, she completed her coursework and case studies for the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine’s canine rehabilitation program. In December of 2016, she became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. Her special interests include low-stress veterinary visits, neurological rehabilitation, and pain management.
Jessie resides in West Virginia with her husband Caleb; dog Neena; and three cats, Reeses, Pete, and T.C. In addition to spending time with her husband and their pets, she enjoys weight lifting, running, hiking, and birding.
