A Northern Virginia native, Ashleigh Fairfield began her veterinary career in 2004 as an assistant for a small animal practice in Herndon, Virginia. It was there that she developed a love for nursing care and medicine and went on to earn her degree as a Licensed Veterinary Technician from the Northern Virginia Community College Veterinary Technology program in 2009, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Shortly before graduating, Ashleigh began working with Veterinary Surgical Centers and became interested in rehabilitation medicine. She graduated from the University of Tennessee’s Canine Rehabilitation Program in 2012, and has been passionately practicing rehabilitation ever since.
Ashleigh’s special interests include pain management, working dogs and return to sport patients, and rehabilitative nursing care. She is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM), National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), and the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians (AARV).
She lives with her cat Michael and Beagle Harvey in Northern Virginia.
